“Somebody Else: Daliphony”: We were going to record YOURSELF November 2004, but because Diane was studying for her Masters Degree (which she now has completed), she found out a few days before the taping that she would not be able to make it. So I called our old friend and and musical inventor Bill Wesley, who came in with his Array Controller, which is kind of like a keyboard, but instead of keys it has a series of raised bumps to trigger the sound. Furthermore, Bill has arranged the bumps in his “Array”, a system of arranging the notes harmonically rather than linearly, as they are on a piano or guitar. After a brief brainstorming and jamming session the night before, “Somebody Else” came to life, totally improvised. The songs are:
